Having the proper amount of humidity in your home can help reduce respiratory infections, control static electricity, prevent house plants from wilting, and stop wood from drying out and cracking. You may also save money on your utility bill, as you can lower your thermostat and feel just as comfortable since humidified air feels warmer. Whether you are replacing an older humidifier, or adding one to your forced air heating system, the 12HF humidifier and its DIY-friendly design can be installed in just a couple of hours.

How Does it Work? When the humidity level drops below the set point of the humidistat and the forced air furnace is running, the patented electronic controller activates the humidifier. Small amounts of fresh water are then added intermittently, flowing through the media pad and the warm air produced by the furnace circulates the humidified air throughout the entire home.

The kit contains everything needed for most installation applications, and requires common hand tools to install in just a couple of hours.

The humidifier is intended for use on forced warm air circulation furnaces, as well as multi-fuel furnaces where temperature does not exceed 180°F (82ºC)

This unit can replace previous Hamilton models, 8FT and 10HF; some modifications are required in the field to accommodate the new housing.
